Here, youll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:• Lead the end-to-end delivery of major technology programmes, from initiation through execution to closure, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and to-spec delivery. This could be at a portfolio level with multiple accountable delivery teams, or at a programme management level for major complex programmes.• Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for technology major programmes, aligning them with the organisation's long-term objectives. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive programme plan, including defining objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the success and impact of technology programmes.• Develop and manage budgets for major technology programmes. Monitor budgetary allocations for each project within the portfolio, track expenditures against approved budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities or potential overruns. Proactively provide financial forecasts / reports to senior management.• Ensure that programmes adhere to best practices and quality standards in technology development, implementation by adopting consistency with ways of working.What Youll Bring•12-15 years of relevant experience in technology and programme management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity, ideally in a multi-national omni-channel retail environment.• Extensive experience in technology programme management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.• Excellent leader and trusted advisor with extensive experience of developing senior business relationships. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project goals while fostering collaboration and teamwork.• Deep understanding of programme governance, planning, risk management, and reporting• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels, including C-suiteAbout PrimarkAt Primark, people matter.
