What This Opportunity Offers:

As a UK Collections Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our credit operations. Your leadership will directly impact cash collection, aged debt reduction, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) targets across specific sectors of the UK market. This position offers a chance to:

  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: You'll have the autonomy to guide and mentor a team, fostering their growth and ensuring they meet ambitious cash and debtor targets.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Take ownership of resolving complex debtor queries and disputes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and contributing to robust month-end processes with insightful analysis and actionable follow-ups.
  • Champion Process Improvement: Collaborate closely with internal departments to enhance compliance and optimize AR processes, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Strategic Impact: Contribute to important financial decisions by supporting legal actions and maintaining accurate bad debt provisions.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

This role is ideally suited for individuals who are:

  • Experienced Leaders: You'll need proven leadership experience within credit control, demonstrating your ability to manage teams and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commercially Savvy: A strong understanding of UK AR legislation and practices is essential, allowing you to navigate the complexities of credit management effectively.
  • Excellent Communicators & Collaborators: Your skills in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration will be vital for success, enabling you to build strong relationships and drive initiatives across the business.
  • Analytical Thinkers: Strong analytical and reporting capabilities are necessary to dissect data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Adaptable and Resilient: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market is key.
  • Globally Minded (Beneficial): While fluent English is essential, additional languages could be a distinct advantage.

A Hybrid Approach to Work:

Embracing flexibility, this role offers a hybrid working model. You'll have the opportunity to balance remote work with in-office presence at our Corby office, with a minimum expectation of two days per week. This approach allows for both focused independent work and valuable in-person collaboration.
