Digital Merchandising Manager (RS PRO) - Corby (Hybrid)

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially astute Digital Merchandising Manager to take the helm of the digital performance and global expansion of the RS PRO own brand. If you're passionate about leveraging data to create exceptional online customer experiences and have a strategic vision for e-commerce growth, this role offers a significant platform to make your mark.

RS Group is seeking an individual who can translate business priorities into impactful digital merchandising strategies. This position is central to optimising the online journey for RS PRO products across all digital channels and product categories. You'll be instrumental in driving commercial success by making data-led decisions and implementing best-in-class digital merchandising practices. A key aspect of this role involves leading and developing a high-performing team, ensuring RS PRO consistently delivers value to customers and stakeholders worldwide.

This is a dynamic, high-impact role demanding strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate and influence across diverse functions and global regions.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Strategy Development & Execution: You will craft and implement a comprehensive digital merchandising strategy for RS PRO, focusing on key product categories. Your efforts will directly contribute to driving digital revenue, enhancing customer engagement, and increasing RS PRO's market participation in alignment with ambitious business targets.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Foster a culture of ongoing enhancement within your team. This includes encouraging the use of analytics, A/B testing, and performance tracking to iteratively refine strategies and optimise customer journeys for maximum impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: A strong collaborative spirit is essential. You will work closely with Commercial, Marketing, SEO, and Product teams to ensure digital merchandising efforts are seamlessly integrated with broader business initiatives and effectively support category and campaign planning.
  • Content & Experience Optimisation: Lead efforts to enhance product content and online experiences. This involves collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to ensure product information is high-quality, optimised for discoverability and conversion, and regularly refreshed to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Product Launch & Competitive Analysis: Play a crucial role in the successful launch of new RS PRO products, ensuring robust digital merchandising support. You will also be responsible for staying ahead of the curve by monitoring competitor activities, promotional tactics, and emerging experience trends.
  • Team Leadership & Development: As a leader, you will be responsible for coaching and developing your team. Ensuring they understand their objectives, align with the overarching digital strategy, and are equipped with the necessary tools and insights to excel is a core responsibility.

What We're Looking For:

This role is ideal for an experienced digital merchandising professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You should possess strong commercial acumen, a genuine passion for e-commerce, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience in B2B and/or B2C digital merchandising, with a preference for experience in own-brand or private-label products.
  • Proficiency with key digital tools such as Adobe Analytics, BrightEdge, Google Trends, and various CMS platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret digital data, derive actionable insights, and communicate recommendations clearly and persuasively.
  • A solid understanding of e-commerce User Experience (UX), content strategy, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles.
  • Familiarity with crucial digital Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), performance levers, and the systems that drive measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Experience in shaping digital product roadmaps and influencing Customer Experience (CX) and UX decisions.

Behavioural & Leadership Competencies:

  • A strong track record of delivering tangible commercial results and demonstrating ownership of outcomes.
  • A clear customer-centric focus, with the ability to articulate the business value of merchandising strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with the confidence and gravitas to influence decision-making at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including experience in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • The ability to navigate complexity and prioritise effectively within fast-moving environments.
  • A strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • A collaborative spirit, adept at working across diverse functions including Product, Supply Chain, Marketing, and UX teams.
  • A genuine passion for e-commerce and driving digital transformation.
  • Resilience, proactivity, and adaptability, underpinned by a positive "can-do" mindset.

The Advantages for You:

Beyond the competitive salary and the standard benefits expected from an FTSE-listed company (including annual performance bonus, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and private healthcare), RS Group is committed to supporting its employees' well-being. In the UK & Ireland, we have introduced progressive family-friendly policies and comprehensive support programs. These include:
