ESG Project Manager

Job at RS Components in Corby, North Northamptonshire, NN17

Location: This role is offered on permanent basis. It is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our Corby or London (Kings Cross) office.

Overview of the Role

Are you passionate about driving sustainability and making a global impact? We’re looking for an experienced ESG Project Manager to lead our Net Zero programme and champion environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives across our global operations. Reporting to the Head of ESG Programmes, you’ll play a pivotal role in reducing our environmental footprint, embedding ESG principles into business operations, and delivering meaningful change across multiple geographies.

What You Will Be Doing

Leading the delivery of our global Net Zero programme, building and guiding cross-functional teams to meet annual CO₂ reduction targets. Developing strategic roadmaps, governance frameworks, and business cases to support carbon-saving initiatives. Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment, transparency, and momentum. Managing project performance, budgets, and risks while ensuring compliance with ESG standards. Embedding ESG metrics into business decisions and supporting sustainability improvements across operations. Facilitating monthly working groups, tracking progress, and driving corrective actions where needed.

About You

You’re a confident and collaborative project manager with a passion for sustainability and a track record of delivering complex, high-impact projects. You bring:

Proven project management experience, ideally with budgets over £1m. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management skills. A calm, curious, and solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous learning. Professional certification in project management (APM or PRINCE2). Attention to detail and an ability to spin multiple plates at once.

Because that’s exactly how we partner with people – our customers, suppliers, colleagues, and communities – to solve problems. We’ll also invest in your development and wellbeing – because building a more diverse and inclusive culture, being ethical, responsible, and committed to our Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) action plan is at the heart of everything we do. Come and join us and over 2000 colleagues here in the UK – and we’ll help you to think big, do more and unleash your brilliance, so you do amazing things too.

Help for people to take control of ongoing Health conditions such as diabetes or asthma. Support for Neurodiverse colleagues and families with neurodiverse members. Support for Women at different life stages from streamlined fertility support through to diagnosis and monitoring of both endometriosis and menopause.
