Are you passionate about communications and ready to help shape the public profile of a forward-thinking university? The University of Lincoln is seeking a proactive and organised Press Office Executive to join our Communications and Marketing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in media, public relations, or university communications. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the University’s Press Office — from managing media enquiries and preparing press materials, to tracking coverage and supporting media events.
You’ll work closely with the PR and Reputation Manager and colleagues across the University to ensure that media engagement is timely, accurate, and aligned with our institutional values. Whether helping to draft a press release, maintaining our media contact lists, or compiling reports on press activity, your work will underpin the University’s ability to tell its story confidently and consistently.
We’re looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office and digital tools to manage records and coordinate activity. Experience in a communications, PR, or press office environment is desirable, but not essential, more important is your enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
As part of a busy and collaborative team, you’ll contribute to a range of communications campaigns, support high-profile events, and play a key role in how the University engages with local and national media. You’ll be discreet and reliable when handling sensitive information and confident working across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
At the University of Lincoln, we pride ourselves on being a university of and for our place, with a strong civic mission and growing national reputation. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to that mission by helping ensure our achievements, partnerships, and values are effectively communicated to the world.
If you’re organised, curious, calm but confident, and excited by the idea of supporting impactful communications in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now and help tell the story of one of the UK’s most distinctive universities.
