Job Description Job Title: Portfolio Benefits & Investments Lead Working Pattern: 37 Hours Days Working location: Derby Raynesway An exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Benefits & Investments Lead role has arisen within Rolls Royce Nuclear (Submarines). This is a unique opportunity to operate across all aspects of the Submarines business and work with the Submarines Executive and Senior Leadership in the Portfolio Council and Operating Committee. As part of the Portfolio Office Transformation team, the Portfolio Benefits & Investments Lead is accountable to the Portfolio Benefits & Investments manager. The Benefits & Investments Lead will be responsible for overseeing and validating business case generation to support portfolio council decision making. This a key role for ensuring best outcomes for the portfolio are understood relative to change initiatives as part of ongoing transformation, and to ensure benefits are identified, monitored, and realised over the current contract duration. The role will lead on the creation and maintenance of the Portfolio Benefits Realisation Plan, Unity Benefits Framework and promote best practice, working closely with the contract & performance, cost management, finance, business management, project management and risk management disciplines both within and outside of the Portfolio Office. The role will involve occasional travel to visit the customer and other sites. What you will be doing Lead on the development of robust investment business cases for Portfolio decision making by working with programme and functional teams to develop robust cost estimates and benefits. Work with Data Analytics team to develop scenarios related to proposed investments to model capability and delivery output impact. Act as the point of contact for the development of new investment cases in the 'warehouse' and liaise with MoD colleagues to validate and transition to 'Jetty' scope. Lead on the development and maintenance of portfolio benefits bank & benefits realisation plan, maintaining line-of-sight of planned benefits identified from launched change initiatives. Lead on production and maintenance of the Portfolio Benefits Framework. Work with the cost and performance teams to monitor inputs from each DBU, Programme and Functional area to the portfolio benefits bank thereby maintaining a current and forecast account of portfolio benefits. Work with Contract and Performance Management team to input into portfolio reports, responsible for providing narrative on benefits part of the Portfolio performance report. Work with Portfolio Baseline Controller to 'recover' benefits from programme teams through target setting and/or recovery of savings. Deputise for Benefits & Investments Manager as required.
